Penmen's Satrustegui Named NE10 Player of the Year; Le Moyne Picks Up a Pair of Major Awards.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Southern New Hampshire's Alex Satrustegui has been named 2018 NE10 Men's Soccer Player of the Year, as voted on by the league's head coaches and announced as part of the All-Conference awards on Wednesday.
Adelphi and Southern New Hampshire led the way with eight players selected to All-Conference Teams, while all three top seeds in the NE10 Championship - Le Moyne, Adelphi and SNHU - landed three players on the All-Conference First Team.

Satrustegui led the Penmen to the No. 3 seed in the NE10 Championship after another masterful season, scoring 19 goals in 14 games to headline the SNHU scoring attack. He was named First Team All-Conference for the second-straight year, as he led the league in goals and was tied for the most overall points (40) with Le Moyne's Marek Weber. SNHU ranks first in the NE10 in goals and shots, a testament to Satrustegui's impact.
Le Moyne's Niklas Breunung has been selected as the league's Defensive Player of the Year, after helping the Dolphins achieve the top seed in the NE10 Championship. Breunung led the defense that pitched seven shutouts and held opponents to 1.15 goals per contest throughout the season, on his way to First Team All-Conference status.
Merrimack's Tyler Packett earned Goalkeeper of the Year and a First Team All-Conference selection after posting eight clean sheets while starting all 17 matches this season for the Warriors, the four-seed in the NE10 Championship. His goals against average of 0.76 is best in the conference, as his play continues to make an impact in the postseason with a 2-0 shutout win over Assumption in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.
Adelphi's Paolo Marciano has been tabbed NE10 Rookie of the Year after a sensational freshman season, leading him to fifth in the conference in points (27) and fourth in goals (11). The Panthers earned a share of the regular season title and entered the NE10 Championship as the two-seed, picking up a win over seven-seed Southern Connecticut State in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. Marciano was a three-time Rookie of the Week during the regular season.
Le Moyne head coach Tom Bonus is slated as the NE10 Coach of the Year after leading the Dolphins to the top seed in the NE10 Championship, before they were upset by eight-seed American International on Tuesday in the quarterfinals. Bonus tallied a 13-3-1 record (10-2-1 NE10) to help Le Moyne earn a share of the regular season title with Adelphi.
