West Haven Community Enjoys Halloween Festivities.

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Despite the rainy weather, the New Haven Student-Athlete Advisory Committee held its third annual Trunk-or-Treat for the West Haven community on Wednesday afternoon during the women's soccer teams home finale.

New Haven student-athletes from all 17 intercollegiate athletic programs, along with the Chargers cheer and dance squads, lined the inside of the German Club decked out in Halloween costumes and loaded with candy. Trick-or-treaters and their families visited with each team, showing off their costumes, taking photographs and most importantly racking up some great Halloween treats.

The SAAC Trunk-or-Treat event is part of the New Haven Department of Athletics' broader community engagement efforts, which seeks to help the surrounding towns and community organizations while providing opportunities for student-athletes and coaches to give back to the local communities.
