Five Men's, Three Women's Basketball Players Earn Academic All-District Honors.

MANSFIELD, Mass. - The Northeast 10 Conference had eight student-athletes named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District Men's and Women's Basketball Teams on Thursday, an honor that recognizes student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Five men's basketball and three women's basketball players were chosen from the league, including a pair from Saint Michael's.

Adelphi's Austin Beech, Bentley's Ryan Richmond, Pace's Peyton Wejnert, Saint Michael's Levi Holmes III and Saint Rose's Matt Cerutti were honored on the men's side, with each recording a cumulative GPA of at least 3.4. New Haven's Alexandria Kerr, Saint Michael's Emily Ferreri and Southern New Hampshire's Kylie Lorenzen received recognition on the women's side, with Ferreri notching a perfect 4.0 GPA as a biology major.

All eight student-athletes were part of the District I All-Academic Team, which covers the NE10, East Coast Conference and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. All-District winners automatically earn a place on the Academic All-America ballot. Voting is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Feb. 26 and close on Tuesday, March 5.
