MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Assumption women’s swimming and diving and Bentley men’s swimming and diving programs have been picked by the Northeast 10 Conference’s head coaches to finish first in their respective Coaches’ Polls, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Heading into the NE10 Swimming and Diving Championships, which is set to begin on Thursday at the WPI Sports and Recreation Center on the campus of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, the Greyhounds and Falcons will enter as the favorites to emerge victorious.

For the complete results of both polls, please see below.

Both polls were razor-tight, as Assumption (68 points) was tabbed first for the fifth-consecutive season by a narrow three-point margin over two-time reigning NE10 champion Southern Connecticut. The Greyhounds commanded four first-place votes, while the Owls secured three. Bentley was close behind in third with 62 total points and a pair of first-place tallies.

On the men’s side, the Falcons received 41 total points and five first-place votes, while Southern Connecticut was right behind with 38 points and two first-place nods. The Owls are defending NE10 champions and have won 13 titles dating back to 2003-04. No other team, besides Bentley and SCSU, has ever won the NE10 men’s swimming and diving crown.

The NE10 Championship begins on Thursday and runs through Sunday night (Feb. 7-10). Schedule and Order of Events can be found at the Swimming and Diving Championship Central page. In addition, a free live stream of the night sessions will be available through NE10 NOW – content that will be live on NE10NOW.tv.
