Bentley Leads After Day One of the NE10 Swimming & Diving Championships

Falcons Lead the Way After First Day at WPI.

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Northeast 10 Conference Swimming and Diving Championships began on Thursday on the campus of WPI, as hosted by Assumption, and the Bentley Falcons took an early lead on both the men's and women's sides. Three days remain in the championship, with action beginning again on Friday morning with preliminaries. Full weekend schedule can be found HERE

The Bentley men's team racked up 102 points, holding a comfortable lead over second-place Southern Connecticut (72 points) and third-place Pace (70 points). The women's team for the Falcons tallied 104 points - just nine points better than Assumption (95). Bentley won the 800 Yard Freestyle Relay for the men and women, while Assumption's Shannon Quirk and Bentley's Daniel Sausto took their respective 1000 Yard Freestyle races.
