NE10 Indoor Track & Field Programs Produce 10 All-Americans at NCAA Championships

10 Student-Athletes Named All-Americans at NCAA Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Northeast 10 Conference student-athletes competed at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships this past weekend in Pittsburg, Kan., with 10 athletes from six different schools being named All-Americans for their outstanding performances.

Franklin Pierce’s CeCe Telfer, the Most Outstanding Women’s Track Performer at the NE10 Championship in mid-February, led the way – earning All-American honors in both the 60 meter hurdles and 200 meter. Her teammate, Hugo Arlabosse, earned recognition in the 800 meter.

Three athletes from AIC were named All-Americans – Serge Gilbert (60 meter hurdles), Benoit Campion (mile) and Dahsia Middlebrooks (triple jump) – the most among all NE10 programs. Southern Connecticut also had a pair of All-American athletes in Oghenefejiro Onakpoma (triple jump) and Terrell Patterson (mile).

Nine athletes recorded top-10 finishes over the weekend at the Robert W. Plaster Center, with a pair of fifth-place finishes from Arlabosse in the 800 meter and Campion in the mile.

Adelphi’s Victoria Major, AIC’s Dahsia Middlebrooks and Assumption’s Abigail Jones all earned Second Team All-American status, while Telfer won First Team All-America in the 60 meter hurdles and Second Team in the 200 meter.
