 Owls, Skyhawks Chosen to Repeat as NE10 Champions.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Southern Connecticut men’s and Stonehill women’s track and field programs have been selected by the Northeast 10 Conference head coaches to repeat as league champions, according to vote tallies from the recent Coaches’ Polls.

The NE10 Outdoor Track & Field Championship is scheduled for Friday (May 3) and Saturday (May 4) at Southern New Hampshire. Complete schedule of events can be found HERE.

The Owls, who claimed the NE10 Indoor Championship back in February, totaled 99 points with nine first-place votes from around the league. AIC recorded 83 points and one first-place vote, while Stonehill (77) and Assumption (73) followed. Merrimack garnered 72 points, while picking up the last available first-place tally. SCSU has won 15 of the last 16 NE10 Outdoor titles.

The Skyhawks received 118 points and eight first-place votes, picking up where they left off in the indoor season where they claimed the NE10 crown. Assumption was close behind with 106 points and three first-place votes, with SCSU recording 97 points and one first-place tally. AIC (76) and Adelphi (69) rounded-out the top five.
