Dolphins, Warriors Advance with NE10 Semifinal Wins.
#1 Le Moyne 14, #5 Assumption 6 - Box Score
Syracuse, N.Y. – Junior attacker Sidney Hall tallied five points to lead the top-ranked and top-seeded Le Moyne women's lacrosse team to a 14-6 win over 17th-ranked and fifth-seeded Assumption College in the Northeast 10 Conference Championships semifinals on Saturday at Ted Grant Field.
With the victory, the Dolphins set a program record for their longest single-season winning streak and consecutive wins to open the season with their 19th straight triumph. The 2017 Dolphins won their first 18 games of the year. The Dolphins advance to the NE10 Championship game for the fifth straight year (longest active streak in the conference) and for the eighth time in nine years in the conference. The Dolphins will take on 22nd-ranked and seventh-seeded Merrimack College on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The Warriors upset second-seeded Adelphi on Wednesday and topped sixth-seeded New Haven on Saturday.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – A 10-goal first half and a six-goal lead at the midpoint set the tone early, and the No. 22 Merrimack women's lacrosse program would hold off 19th-ranked New Haven's late comeback attempt down the stretch to send the Warriors to their first Northeast 10 Conference Championship title game since 2006 after a 15-11 win over the Chargers on Saturday at Le Moyne's Ted Grant Field.
Senior Bridget Schofield led that offensive charge with a game- and career-high seven points on the strength of five goals and two assists, with five of those points coming in the first half alone. Classmate Amber Feminella also had five points (3g, 2a), while senior Lauren Trepaney was tremendous between the pipes with 14 saves on 25 shots faced.
The Warriors advance to take on defending league and national champion Le Moyne for the conference crown tomorrow (May 5) back at Ted Grant Field at 1 p.m.
