NE10 Announces Spring Academic Honor Roll; 311 Earn Academic Excellence Status

3,560 Student-Athletes Named to Spring Academic Honor Roll.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference is proud to announce that 3,560 student-athletes out of its 5,890 – more than 60-percent of the student-athlete body – have been named to the Academic Honor Roll for the 2019 spring semester among its 15 full-member institutions and one associate member.

The Academic Honor acknowledges the commitment of NE10 student-athletes to excel in the classroom with three designations – Academic Excellence (4.0 GPA), Academic Distinction (3.5-3.99 GPA) and Academic Honors (3.00-3.49 GPA).

Among those recognized, a remarkable 311 student-athletes earned Academic Excellence honors – recording a perfect 4.0 GPA in the spring semester. Merrimack led all schools with 38 student-athletes as Academic Excellence winners, while SNHU had second-most at 30.

For the third-straight semester, 13 of the conference’s 15 member institutions had at least 50-percent of their total student-athlete population claim Academic Honor Roll status. Four schools had over 70-percent of all student-athletes achieve at least a 3.0 GPA, with Bentley leading the way at 76-percent.

Bentley had a league-high 361 student-athletes honored, while Assumption was second with 334 and Merrimack came in third at 314. Of the student-athletes recognized, 13 schools had at least 50-percent achieve a minimum 3.5 GPA.

Football led all sports in representation with 355 student-athletes on the AHR, while women’s soccer came in second (329) and men’s lacrosse was third (268). The NE10 had 10 different sports produce more than 200 student-athletes with a minimum 3.0 GPA for the fall semester.
