Katie Chase Signs with SNHU Women's Soccer.
MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire women's soccer team officially signed Katie Chase (Pembroke, N.H.) to its program Thursday after being matched with the 12-year-old through Team IMPACT.
Katie, who was diagnosed with Alagille Syndrome at birth, always has a smile on her face and loves to try new things. In addition to her six siblings, and parents Bethany and Craig, Katie now has the support of the 26-member SNHU women's soccer team and its coaching staff.
Following a few words from head coach Elie Monteiro, Katie signed her Letter of Intent and then was presented with her own Penmen women's soccer jersey by senior team advocates Fallyn Hippert and Emily Roan.
Team IMPACT is a non-profit organization that improves the quality of life for children facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses by matching them with collegiate athletic teams. Katie becomes the eighth current member of the SNHU family through Team IMPACT, as well as its 11th all-time letterwinner since 2012.
