The 2013 Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team captured the NCAA Division II National Championship, bringing the national title back to the NE10 for the second time in the 2000s and the first time since 2007.

After a season-opening loss, the NE10-Champion Penmen were unbeaten in their final 23 contests en route to the national title, culminating with a 2-1 win over Carson-Newman University in the championship game December 7, 2013 in Evans, Ga., as the team finished with a record of 22-1-1. The squad was inducted into the Northeast-10 Hall of Fame in July 2018, while four members of the team went on to play professionally.

The national championship game was in a scoreless deadlock until there was 16:58 to go in the second half when Miguel Carneiro scored to give the Penmen a 1-0 lead. Southern New Hampshire made it 2-0 with 4:23 left on a penalty kick by Pierre Omanga, the DII Player of the Year. Dom Dimaggio made three saves in the victory, allowing just one goal with six seconds remaining.

It was the second national championship for SNHU men’s soccer, as the program won it back in 1989 before it was a member of the NE10. The Penmen also reached the title match as an NE10 member in 2002, but fell short.
