35 NE10 Men’s and Women’s Soccer Players Earn D2CCA, United Soccer Coaches All-Region Honors

Franklin Pierce Men and Saint Rose Women Lead the League in Selections.


MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference had 35 student-athletes from men's and women's soccer recently named to the All-East Region Teams for both the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) and United Soccer Coaches, as the Franklin Pierce men and Saint Rose women boasted a league-high number of selections.

Franklin Pierce, the NE10 Men's Soccer Champion, had six players recognized for All-Region honors – with included nine First Team selections overall. Saint Rose, the NE10 Women's Soccer Champion, had five players honored with seven overall nods to the First Team.

NE10 men's soccer programs produced 16 All-Region honorees that represent seven schools. Eight men's players earned multiple selections to both the D2CCA and United Soccer Coaches teams, with Franklin Pierce having a league-best four student-athletes earn the dual recognition. Among 24 total selections, NE10 players secured 15 First Team spots.

Adelphi's Rodrigo Descalzo Rocca, Franklin Pierce's Carlos Ferrando Felis, Javier Nemesio Garcia, Kosta Maniatis and New Haven's Pau Santanach were the five men's players to be named First Team by both organizations.

On the women's side, NE10 programs saw 19 players recognized for their outstanding play during the 2021 season – representing eight different institutions. Nine players earned multiple selections to both the D2CCA and United Soccer Coaches teams, with Saint Rose tallying a league-high five student-athletes with dual honors. Among 28 total selections, NE10 players accounted for 13 First Team accolades.

Saint Rose's Mia Klammer, Marika Laurendeau and Sanna Rein – as well as Southern New Hampshire's Ai Inoue and Allyson Patterson – were the five women's players to earn First Team selections by both organizations.

Founded in 1941 and based in Kansas City, Mo., United Soccer Coaches has grown into the world's largest soccer coaches' organization that serves members at every level of the game. United Soccer Coaches works every day to inspire coaches and ignite their passion for the game so they pass it on to players and others in the soccer community.

The D2CCA encourages and promotes DII athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact DII intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA DII member colleges and universities.
