UNITED SOCCER COACHES RELEASE

Three Selections to First Team All-American.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Eight men's and women's soccer student-athletes from the Northeast-10 Conference were recently named All-Americans by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) and United Soccer Coaches, following their outstanding performances throughout the 2021 season.

The Saint Rose women's soccer program – the 2021 NCAA Division II finalist – led all NE10 teams with four All-American selections. Goalkeeper Marika Laurendeau highlighted the group, earning First Team honors through United Soccer Coaches and Third Team recognition with D2CCA.

On the men's side, Franklin Pierce's duo of Carlos Ferrando Felis and Kosta Maniatis also earned recognition from both organizations. Ferrando Felis was a First Team selection with D2CCA and a Second Team selection with United Soccer Coaches, while Maniatis was a Third Team member for both.

Overall, the NE10 produced eight soccer players who earned 11 selections to All-American teams. Three players – Laurendeau, Ferrando Felis and SNHU's Allyson Patterson – took home First Team honors. Four NE10 programs were represented overall.

Ferrando Felis, the NE10 Player of the Year, and Maniatis, the NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year, helped lead Franklin Pierce to the NCAA East Region final this season. The Ravens won their fourth NE10 title in program history with a 2-1 victory over American International on Nov. 13, their first since 2011.

New Haven's Pau Santanach, the NE10 Rookie of the Year, earned Third Team honors through D2CCA after leading the NE10 in both goals (16) and points (36). He ranked seventh nationally in points per game (2.25) and helped the Chargers qualify for the NE10 Men's Soccer Championship for the first time since 2010.

Laurendeau, the NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year, led Saint Rose to the NCAA Division II National Championship game for only the second time in program history. She recorded a league-high 11 shutouts this season, including six in conference play.

Saint Rose's Sanna Rein was named a D2CCA Second Team All-American, after most notably scoring the game-winning goal against Southern Connecticut in the NE10 Women's Soccer Championship on Nov. 14. It was nearly an identical flashback, as Rein also netted the game-winner in the 2019 NE10 Women's Soccer Championship against Southern Connecticut.

The Golden Knights' also had Mia Klammer and Ciera Lundy earn Third Team selections from United Soccer Coaches. Klammer led all NE10 players in goals (14) and points (34) on her way to being named NE10 Rookie of the Year. Lundy, an NE10 First Team All-Conference pick, scored one of Saint Rose's two goals in the National Championship game, while Klammer tallied the other.

SNHU's Patterson, the NE10 Player of the Year, was named a First Team All-American by United Soccer Coaches, following her outstanding season for the Penmen – the NE10 regular season champions. She concluded the season with 13 points (six goals, one assist) at the midfield position.
