MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference is proud to reward excellence in both academic and athletic settings, as the league announces its seven winners of the Sport Excellence Award from the 2021-22 winter season.

Among the 82 student-athletes named to the NE10 Academic All-Conference teams last week, the Sport Excellence Award honors one top individual from each of those seven winter sports. Six different institutions were represented in the announcement on Thursday morning.

Among the winners of the Sport Excellence Award – one of the Conference's most prestigious honors – were three student-athletes that won NE10 Player of the Year recognition this season: Saint Rose's Colleen Quaglia (Women's Swimmer of the Year), as well as Southern New Hampshire's Joseph Fiorino (Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Year) and Ashley Corcoran (Women's Track Athlete of the Year).

Each Sport Excellence winner was an All-Conference selection, with two student-athletes – Beaver and Schetter – earning All-America recognition.
