NE10 Announces Staffing Updates Before 2022-23 Season

Lewis and Klorczyk

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lewis Promoted; Klorczyk Hired After Two Years as Graduate Assistant at Adelphi.

MANSFIELD, Mass. - The Northeast-10 Conference is proud to announce a pair of staffing updates ahead of the 2022-23 academic year, as Steve Lewis has been promoted to Assistant Commissioner of Strategic Communications & Operations, while Mali Klorczyk has joined the league as its Director of Strategic Communications & Digital Media.

Lewis and Klorczyk will work together on the Conference's communications efforts moving forward, which include the creation of engaging content on northeast10.org, expanding the NE10 brand on social media and overseeing the growth of NE10 NOW - the league's digital streaming platform.

Lewis enters his fifth year with the NE10 in 2022-23. In his first four years, he served as Director of Strategic Communications & Operations. He is the primary media contact for 12 sports - including football, men's basketball and women's basketball - and is responsible for the All-Conference award process, coordinating behind-the-scenes work for NE10 Championship events and overseeing the Conference's Hall of Fame process. Lewis spearheaded the website redesign for northeast10.org in 2020 and has increased social media engagement by nearly 100% since joining the league in September of 2018.

"I'm excited to announce Steve's well-deserved promotion and reward his continued commitment to advancing the NE10," said NE10 Commissioner Julie Ruppert. "This enhanced role of Assistant Commissioner is recognition of the work he has done over the past four years to build a robust and interactive communications strategy, digital network, new website, and social media platforms that consistently engage fans, student-athletes, coaches and administrators."

"The NE10 has made my job easy. There is always something to promote about the accomplishments of the outstanding individuals who play, work or teach in this Conference," said Lewis. "I look forward to continuing this work and I am excited to have Mali join our staff. Thank you to Commissioner Julie Ruppert for your constant support and leadership."

Klorczyk joins the staff after six years at Adelphi University - four as a student-athlete and two as a graduate assistant in the athletic communications office. During her time as a GA, Klorczyk served as the primary media contact for field hockey, men's and women's golf, and softball. She handled SID-related duties, including producing live streams on NE10 NOW, and was responsible for training and scheduling student workers. Klorczyk was a four-year player on the Adelphi women's basketball team.

"I'm thrilled to welcome Mali to the NE10 staff. It's a joy to see a former NE10 student-athlete on our staff for the first time," said Ruppert. "She will bring excellent hands-on experience as both an employee and student-athlete at Adelphi. That, combined with her skill set, will enable her to immediately contribute to promoting the 13 NE10 member schools and working with our exceptional student-athletes."

"I am grateful to be joining the staff as the Director of Strategic Communications and Digital Media for the conference I once competed in as a student-athlete," said Klorczyk. "I look forward to helping the NE10 as it continuously works to further enhance the student-athlete experience and remain a dominant conference in Division II. I would like to thank Commissioner Julie Ruppert and the rest of the staff for this opportunity."
