NE10 Honors 102 Student-Athletes on Fall Academic All-Conference Teams

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference released its Academic All-Conference teams for the 2022 fall season on Wednesday afternoon, as the league honored 102 outstanding student-athletes from seven sports for their excellence in the classroom and on the playing surface. 

To be eligible for selection to NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements:

  • Started in at least half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions as a significant contributor.
  • Achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) or better on a 4.0 scale.

Each NE10 institution, as well as two associate members of the Conference, had at least one student-athlete named to the Academic All-Conference teams. For a full list of honorees, please CLICK HERE.

Franklin Pierce had a league-best 15 selections across all countable fall sports (golf and tennis are recognized in the spring), while Saint Anselm and Southern New Hampshire tied for second with 10 honorees each. Adelphi and Pace both had nine recipients and Bentley had eight. 

Women's soccer led all fall sports with 22 student-athletes honored, while field hockey had 21 and women's cross country had 15. Volleyball recognized 13 players, while football and men's soccer honored 12 and men's cross country had seven selections.

Four student-athletes - American International's Shannon Cormier (field hockey), Franklin Pierce's Riley Fenoff (men's cross country), Saint Anselm's Jackie Gaumer (field hockey) and Southern New Hampshire's Ashley Corcoran (women's cross country) - were named Academic All-Conference for the third time in their collegiate careers. Among the 102 honorees, 26 of them were also recognized in the fall of 2021. 

Eight NE10 Player of the Year award winners are included on the Academic All-Conference teams: Adelphi's Jamie Yonker (Volleyball Libero of the Year), American International's Andrea Serra Rosa (Volleyball Player of the Year) and Naomi Eckert Rivera (Volleyball Setter of the Year), Franklin Pierce's Aino Martikainen (Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year), New Haven's Taylor Geaglone (Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Year) and Connor Degenhardt (Football Offensive Player of the Year), Saint Anselm's Maggie Malloy (Field Hockey Player of the Year) and Southern New Hampshire's Ashley Corcoran (Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Year).
