FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Steve Lewis has been named the Northeast-10 Conference's Director of Strategic Communications and Operations. He will begin his new position with the league office on September 10. Lewis will work primarily in communications and championships at the league office and will assist with the development and execution of the Conference’s overall digital presence, including the further development of the NE10 Embrace campaign.

Lewis comes to the NE10 from the University of Connecticut, where he has worked in the athletic department for the last two years. During his time in Storrs, Lewis served as the Athletic Communications Assistant and served as the primary contact for the Huskies men's soccer, women's ice hockey, softball, and rowing programs.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing someone with Steve's experience on board to work at the NE10,” said commissioner Julie Ruppert. “I am confident he will be a tremendous addition to our staff and will be a great resource for our member institutions as he helps lead us in these important areas."

"I am excited to join the NE10 and begin working with its highly-accomplished 15 member institutions, from an academic and athletic standpoint," said Lewis. "Being able to highlight and share the great stories surrounding the NE10 as one of the premier conferences in the nation will be a fun and rewarding opportunity. I look forward to beginning the next chapter of my career in Mansfield and working with experienced and talented individuals, both in the conference office and at our member schools."

Prior to his time at UConn, Lewis spent two years working in the athletic department at Yale University. He is a 2014 graduate from the University of Connecticut.
