The 2011 Saint Rose Women’s Soccer Team defeated Grand Valley State 2-1 in Pensacola, Florida to claim the first team national title in the school’s history. Carmelina Puopolo played hero for the Golden Knights as she scored both goals in the title game. The win capped off a 24-1-1 season which saw Saint Rose win the NE10 regular season title, the NE10 tournament title, and of course, the National Championship.

During their NCAA Tournament run, the Golden Knights would outscore their opponents 12-1 in the four games. They defeated Merrimack 5-0, followed by a win over UMass Lowell 2-0. The Golden Knights would then go on to a 1-0 win over California (Pa.). In the National Semifinals, Saint Rose knocked off Armstong Atlantic 2-0, before defeating the Lakers in the title game. The team featured eight NE10 All-Conference selections, including NE10 Player of the Year - Christina Cuffari.

This year, the NE10 is proud to welcome eight additions to our Hall of Fame. We welcome three national-title winning teams, and five outstanding former student-athletes to the Conference Hall of Fame.
