NE10 Hall of Fame Inductee: James Thorpe, Franklin Pierce Soccer

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

James Thorpe, Franklin Pierce Men’s Soccer – Class of 2008

James Thorpe was the goaltender on the 2007 Franklin Pierce Men's Soccer team that won the national title, which was the first championship in the sport in program history. He was named the NSCAA National Player of the Year that fall as he allowed only four goals all season long. Thorpe was a three-time all American and was named the NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year each of his four seasons in Rindge. He was drafted by the DC United of Major League Soccer following his collegiate career.

This year, the NE10 is proud to welcome eight additions to our Hall of Fame. We welcome three national-title winning teams, and five outstanding former student-athletes to the Conference Hall of Fame.
