NE10 Hall of Fame Inductee: Brandon Birchak, Saint Rose Diving

NE10 Hall of Fame Inductee: Brandon Birchak, Saint Rose Diving

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Brandon Birchak, Saint Rose Diving  – Class of 2008

Brandon Birchak was the first Saint Rose student-athlete in school history to win an NCAA National Championship. Recovering from a broken back in 2005, Brandon returned to the pool to win both the one and three-meter diving events at the 2007 NCAA Division II Championships.

A mere 9.3 points shy of the all-time NCAA record of 556.40 points, Brandon was named the 2007 NCAA National Diver of the Year for his performance. A four-time NCAA All American, four-time Northeast-10 Conference Champion, and a two-time NE10 Diver of the Year, Birchak was also the runner-up in the one-meter and three-meter events at the 2008 NCAA Championships.

This year, the NE10 is proud to welcome eight additions to our Hall of Fame. We welcome three national-title winning teams, and five outstanding former student-athletes to the Conference Hall of Fame.
