In their first game at the College World Series, Franklin Pierce will take on Nova Southeastern, the South Regional Champions. The Sharks have a record of 39-16 and defeated AIC, SNHU, and SCSU during the season

The U.S.A. Training Complex - located in Cary, North Carolina - is a beautiful facility, and each year, it hosts the NCAA Baseball College World Series

After falling behind 2-0 early, Franklin Pierce tied the game up in the 4th inning

Sharing thoughts throughout the game, healthy conversation is always good. Franklin Pierce head coach Jayson King engages with the home plate umpire

Tanner Bird was outstanding out of the bullpen for Franklin Pierce and the Ravens would take a 3-2 lead after Maxx Sheehan's RBI single in the 7th

Nova Southeastern tied the game up with a run in the Bottom of the 9th - to extra innings we went

In the 12th Inning, NSU got a 2-out run-scoring single to win it, 4-3. A heartbreaker for Franklin Pierce, but they'll be back. The Ravens take the field Tuesday afternoon against Central Missouri

In their second game of the College World Series, Franklin Pierce would take on Central Missouri in an elimination game. The Mules were defeated by Lander Saturday night

The Ravens fell behind early, but had their opportunities during the latter innings, but were unable to take advantage of them

And in the end, fell to Central Missouri by a final score of 6-0

A disappointing end to a great season

After the game, head coach Jayson King spoke about how special Cary is and what it meant to be one of just eight teams still playing at this time of year

This team became the seventh in program history to win the East Region title, ascended to the top of the national polls, and represented themselves extremely well down in North Carolina

And when these young men look back on this ride, this is the moment they'll remember. Congratulations Franklin Pierce on a tremendous season
