MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College football team has joined the list of programs working with Team IMPACT, a non-profit organization that matches children facing life-threatening illnesses with collegiate athletic teams, after announcing that it has added 14-year old Nathan Etchells to the squad.

"We are beyond excited to have Nathan join the Hawk football family and the Saint Anselm community," said junior offensive lineman Dave Boardman, who has been the point person for the Hawks with Team IMPACT. "We could not be happier for the opportunity to have an impact on Nathan's life as he will have a great impact on ours."

Nathan is a native of Hollis, N.H., and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in October 2009 at age 11. He is the son of Mike and Michelle and has two brothers, Aaron and Austin.

Nathan loves football and basketball and is an overall sports fanatic. His favorite sports team is the NBA's Boston Celtics. His favorite number is five and he loves to eat seafood. 21 Jump Street is Nathan's favorite movie and he adores his dog, Murphy.

Nathan will be a full-fledged member of the team as he will attend practices and games and spend time off the field getting to know his new teammates.

Football becomes the fourth team at Saint Anselm with a Team IMPACT match, joining men's ice hockey, women's soccer and softball.
