American International to Host Stonehill in Northeast-10 Football Championship

Northeast-10 Conference announces its
2013 Football Championship Weekend matchups

SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – American International College and Stonehill College will meet in next weekend's Northeast-10 Conference Football Championship game, as both programs posted matching 8-1 league records to earn a share of the 2013 Northeast-10 regular-season title.

American Int'l (8-2, 8-1 NE-10) will host the title game at Ronald J. Abdow Field in Springfield, Mass. on Saturday, November 16 at 2:00 p.m., having defeated Stonehill (8-2, 8-1 NE-10) back on October 5, 31-10.

The Northeast-10 title game can be viewed online free of charge at northeast10.tv. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $6 for seniors and youths, and $2 for students from Northeast-10 with valid identification.

American Int'l officially clinched its right to host the 2013 Northeast-10 Championship with its 33-14 win over Southern Connecticut State University on Saturday afternoon.

American Int'l will be making its second straight appearance in the Northeast-10 Championship, as the Yellow Jackets fell to the University of New Haven, 37-12, in last year's inaugural conference title game.

The Stonehill-American Int'l will be one of five contests to take place next Saturday as part of the Northeast-10's Football Championship Weekend.

In other action, third-seeded New Haven (7-3, 7-2 NE-10) will host fourth-seeded Assumption College (6-4, 6-3 NE-10) at DellaCamera Stadium at 12:00 p.m.

The other contests will feature fifth-seeded Merrimack College (6-4, 5-4 NE-10) hosting eighth-seeded So. Connecticut (3-7, 3-6 NE-10) at 1:00 p.m., sixth-seeded Bentley University (5-5, 4-5 NE-10) hosting ninth-seeded Saint Anselm College (1-9, 1-8 NE-10) at 12:00 p.m., and seventh-seeded LIU Post (4-6, 3-6 NE-10) hosting 10th-seeded Pace University (0-10, 0-9 NE-10) at 12:00 p.m.
