New Haven with League-High 16 All-Conference Selections.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Stonehill's Justin Felder, the fourth-leading rusher in all of Division II with 151.3 yards per game, has been selected Northeast-10 Conference Most Valuable Player for the 2019 season – as the league office announced all-conference football honors on Friday.
Players and coaches from seven different NE10 institutions grabbed a major award, including league champion Bentley having its head coach Bill Kavanaugh named Coach of the Year for the first time in his tenure with the Falcons.
Pace's Carlton Aiken was elected the NE10 Offensive Player of the Year, while Saint Anselm's CJ Miller was named NE10 Defensive Player of the Year. Additionally – Assumption's Quentin Hall and American International's Isiah Tolbert earned Offensive and Defensive Lineman of the Year, respectively.
New Haven led all teams in the league with 16 players earning All-Conference honors, including Shamar Logan, the NE10 Rookie of the Year and a First Team selection. Assumption had the second most with 15 selections, while Stonehill was third with 14.

Felder, a sophomore back who enjoyed a record-breaking season, becomes the first Skyhawk to earn NE10 MVP honors in program history. He led the league in carries (236), rushing yards (1,513) and rushing touchdowns (16), while ranking in the top 10 in all three categories across all Division II players.
His standout games came against Southern Connecticut and Pace, running for 314 and 311 yards, respectively, while racking up five scores. He had seven 100-yard games and set single-season program records in carries, rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, total touchdowns (18) and is the first Stonehill player to post a 100-point season in school history (108). He also was named to the All-Conference First Team.
Aiken, the Offensive Player of the Year as the signal caller for Pace, led all NE10 quarterbacks in passing touchdowns with 19 to only three interceptions. Not only did Aiken rack-up 1,833 passing yards and a passing efficiency of 142.8 (second-best in the league), but he recorded 684 rushing yards (68.4 per game) and nine scores on the ground. His total of 28 touchdowns this season was more than any other NE10 player. He is the first Pace player to earn Offensive Player of the Year honors.
Miller, Saint Anselm's first-ever winner of the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year award, was a ball magnet this season for the Hawks – ranking first in the league in tackles (107), solo tackles (58), sacks (10.5) and forced fumbles (3), while ranking second in tackles for a loss (14). He helped lead the Hawks to four conference wins, just one shy of matching the team's all-time record. He was also a First Team All-Conference selection.
Logan had a breakout season for New Haven, averaging over 100 rushing yards per game (102.3) on his way to being named NE10 Rookie of the Year. The Chargers' offense was motored by Logan, who recorded a 1,000-yard season (1,023), including five games over the 100-yard mark. He ranks second in the league in rushing yards and rushing yards per game, while tied for sixth in rushing touchdowns (8). He was named to the First Team, alongside Felder at the running back position.
Assumption's running game this season was solidified by Hall, a unanimous choice for First Team and Offensive Lineman of the Year. The Greyhounds recorded over 2,000 rushing yards this season as a team in 10 games, the most of any NE10 program, while sponsoring a pair of running backs in Doug Santos and Khaleed Exum-Strong that combined for over 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns on the ground. Hall, a senior, is now a two-time First Team player.
Tolbert led AIC's efforts on the defensive side of the ball this season, joining Assumption's Hall in being a unanimous choice for First Team and Defensive Lineman of the Year. He led the league with 18 tackles for a loss, finishing 10th in Division II with 1.8 tackles for a loss per game. He also recorded seven sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, an interception and his 71 tackles rank eighth in the league.
Kavanaugh captures his first NE10 Coach of the Year award after leading Bentley to the 2019 NE10 Football Championship, clinching the title on the final day of the regular season. He becomes the first Falcons' head coach since Thom Boerman in 2009 to earn Coach of the Year accolades. Bentley finished the season with a 6-2 record in league play, including five-straight wins to end the year.
