Miller Represents NE10 on All-Region First Team Defense.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Three student-athletes from the Northeast-10 Conference earned Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-Super Region I Football honors on Friday afternoon, being named among the best players in the region for their play during the 2019 season.

Saint Anselm's CJ Miller led the way as the league's only choice to the All-Super Region First Team on the defensive side of the ball, while Stonehill's Justin Felder and Bentley's Pete Thorbahn earned spots on the Second Team for offense and defense, respectively.

Miller – who earned American Football Coaches Association All-American accolades earlier this week – was voted the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year after leading the league in tackles, sacks and forced fumbles. He is the first Hawks player to ever be named AFCA All-American.

Felder – another AFCA All-American – enjoyed a record-breaking season where he led the league in carries, rushing yards and rushing touchdowns, on his way to being named NE10 Most Valuable Player. He averaged 151.3 rushing yards per game this season, ranking fourth among all Division II players.

Thorbahn – a two-time First Team All-Conference selection – had a shutdown season for Bentley at the defensive back position. Widely considered among the best defensive players in the league, Thorbahn helped lead the Falcons to their first NE10 title since 2009 while contributing 58 tackles and a pair of interceptions this season.

With his First Team status, Miller is now eligible for the D2CCA All-American ballot, where he looks to add to his remarkable list of postseason recognition.
