Second-Straight Year that New Haven has Produced an AFCA All-American.

WACO, Texas – After a stellar season for New Haven, graduate return specialist Terrell Ford has been recognized as one of six special teams players to be named to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-America squads as announced by the organization. Ford earns one of three special teams spots on the second team.

A transfer wide receiver from Clarion University, Ford set a pair of single game school records during his first, and only, season playing for the Chargers. The Tonawanda, N.Y. native racked up 644 return yards on 19 attempts, returning two for touchdowns. One of those two TD's went end zone to end zone setting a single game record, surpassing the previous set by Mike DeCaro in 2012. The 100-yard return for Ford came against Franklin Pierce.

His first return TD came against American International as he went the distance starting at the 19-yard line. That 81-yard return was part of 229 total return yards against the Yellow Jackets, setting his second single game record of the season.

In addition to his 644 return yards, Ford also finished the season with 289 receiving yards, second most on the team, averaging 12 yards per catch and scoring one touchdown.
