BOX SCORE

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Second-seeded LIU Post captured its first Northeast-10 Conference title since 2013 with a 2-1 overtime victory at top-seeded Saint Anselm on Sunday at Grappone Stadium.

Sophomore forward/midfielder Emily Miller provided the heroics in the extra session. Only 2:08 into overtime, Miller, who was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player, collected a long pass from Julie Gysels and went around Hawks' senior goaltender Katherine Sears for the game-winning goal.

The Pioneers (15-3) led for much of the contest in regulation. Senior midfielder Steph Mocerino put the green and gold in front in the 17th minute with her fourth penalty stroke tally of 2016.

The hosts evened the score as time expired in the game. A Rose Mooney shot from the top of the circle tied things up to force overtime.

Between the pipes, senior cageminder Ericka Parks made five saves for LIU Post. Sears stopped seven shots for Saint Anselm.

Additionally, the Pioneers had three representatives on the NE-10 All-Tournament Team. They were Miller, Parks and junior defender Grace Ilias.

LIU Post now awaits word on a potential at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Championship. The selection show will be aired Monday (Nov. 7) at 3 p.m. on NCAA.com. You can view it by clicking here.
