47 Student-Athletes Named NFHCA Scholars of Distinction

BROCKPORT, N.Y.  – The Northeast-10 had 47 student-athletes from 12 institutions named a the 2020 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II Scholar of Distinction as announced by the organization on Wednesday. 

The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year. 

Adelphi led all NE10 Institutions with nine honorees, which was the fourth highest mark in the nation. Southern New Hampshire had seven student-athletes earn recognition folowed by Pace with six, while New Haven and St. Thomas Aquinas had five apiece. The total of 47 nearly doubles the NE10's 2019 total of 27 honorees.

Beginning its 40th anniversary season, the NE10 is an association of 14 diverse institutions serving student-athletes across 24 NCAA Division II sports. Together we build brilliant futures by embracing the journey of every student-athlete.
