Assumption Leads After Day One.

ENDICOTT, N.Y. – Day One of the NE10 Men's Golf Championship is in the books at the En-Joie Golf Club, as Assumption (+4) holds a narrow team lead over Southern New Hampshire (+5) after the first 18 holes of action on Sunday.

The Greyhounds – who were voted to win the NE10 title, according to the Men's Golf Pre-Championship Poll – were led by Zak Sanzaro, who shot a one-under 71. Mark Bryant shot even-par 72 to help Assumption grab an edge heading into Monday's final round.

Overall, Saint Michael's Matt Johnson had the best round of any golfer with a four-under 68, two strokes better than his teammate Brendan Locke (-2). Host school Le Moyne was led by Nicholas Bove (-1), tied with Southern New Hampshire's Garrett Olivar to round-out the top five.

Assumption holds a one-stroke lead over Southern New Hampshire and a two-stroke advantage over Le Moyne (+6). Franklin Pierce, Saint Michael's and Saint Rose are close behind at 10-over each.

A championship for Assumption would be the first in program history; for Southern New Hampshire, it would be its second-consecutive title and for Le Moyne, its first since 2016 and third overall.

Monday's final round will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., weather-permitting. Check for updates at @TheNortheast10 on Twitter. Complete team leaderboard is available HERE
