Six NE10 Men's Basketball Teams Part of Eight Team Regional, Tying Record

MEN'S EAST REGIONAL

The Northeast-10 Conference had six teams selected to compete in the upcoming NCAA Men's Basketball East Regional, which will take place in Syracuse, N.Y. and be hosted by top-seeded Le Moyne at Ted Grant Court.

The six teams ties the modern-day record for teams from a single conference selected to compete in the 64-team tournament. The NE10 also sent six teams to the regional in 2011. 

Representing the NE10 are top-seeded Le Moyne, second-seeded Southern New Hampshire, third-seeded Saint Rose, fourth-seeded Saint Anselm, seventh-seeded Southern Connecticut, and eighth-seeded Merrimack.

WOMEN'S EAST REGIONAL

The NE10 had three teams selected to compete in the upcoming NCAA Women's Basketball East Regional, which will take place in Garden City, N.Y. and be hosted by top-seeded Adelphi at the Center for Recreation and Sport.

Adelphi, Bentley, and Assumption will all compete in this year's tournament, with the Panthers earning the top-seed following their NE10 Title win yesterday afternoon. Bentley earned their 33rd NCAA Tournament invite, most in the nation, and will be the third seed when First Round play begins on Friday. 

Assumption was awarded the seventh seed and will take on second-seeded Queens on Friday.
