MANSFIELD, Mass. - Four Northeast-10 Conference men's and women's basketball student-athletes were recently named Academic All-Americans® by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The award recognizes combined outstanding performance on the court and in the classroom.

Saint Rose senior forward Julian Lipinski led the way as he was named a First Team Academic All-American. A finance major, Lipinski owns a 4.00 grade-point-average. A 2018 first-team NE10 All-Conference selection, he was also chosen to the 2017 NE10 Academic All-Conference squad and the 2017 National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court in recognition of superior academic performance.

Lipinski is President of the Saint Rose Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and is the former Treasurer of the Huether School of Business Association. He worked as a Financial Consulting Intern with Ayco, a Goldman-Sachs company, last summer. Lipinski was also the runner-up in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York "Fed Challenge" and was a team-leader for the Adirondack Cup investment competition.

Also recognized from the NE10 were Adelphi's Michael Coffey, and Saint Michael's Emily Ferreri and Levi Holmes, III. Coffey, a senior majoring in accounting, has a 3.79 GPA. In 29 games this season, the NE10 Honorable Mention selection averaged 15.3 points per game to lead the Panthers in scoring. For his career, Coffey scored 1,828 points, ranking him third all-time, with 382 career made three-pointers a new school record.

Saint Michael's duo of Ferreri and Holmes each had impressive years on and off the court. Majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry, Ferreri holds a 4.00 GPA and has landed on the NE10 Commissioner's Honor Roll all five of her completed semesters. The lone student on Saint Michael's College's Presidential Search Committee, Ferreri was an NE10 Academic All-Conference selection as a sophomore.

Holmes, studying economics and mathematics, carries a 3.61 GPA and was named a D2 Conference Commissioners East Region selection, as well as an NE10 All-Conference honoree. Holmes contributed 20 points in 19 of his team's 26 games, with his 24.1-point scoring average tying for the third-highest in program history, matching the best since 1964-65.
