Saint Anselm Narrowly Tabbed on Top of NE10 Ice Hockey Coaches' Poll

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Saint Anselm Hawks have been projected to win the Northeast-10 Ice Hockey Championship by the conference’s head coaches, as the league office released the 2017-18 NE-10 Ice Hockey Preseason Coaches’ Poll today.

Saint Anselm claimed the top spot in the poll with a total of 23 points and three of the six available first-place votes. The nine-time NE10 Champions will be looking to return to the top spot, while Saint Michael's received the other three first place nods and finished with 22 points. The Purple Knights advance to the title game last year.

Defending champion Assumption finished third in the voting with 15 points, just narrowly edging out Stonehill, which received 14 points. Southern New Hampshire earned 11 points in the voting, while Franklin Pierce received five.

The 2017-18 season will culminate with the NE10 Championship on Saturday, March 3. The semifinals will take place the previous Saturday, February 24.
