Greyhounds Win First-Ever Regular Season Title.

MANSFIELD, Mass. - The NE10 Ice Hockey Championship seeds have been determined following the regular season's conclusion on Saturday, with Assumption entering the tournament as the top seed following its first regular season title in program history. The Greyhounds finished with 26 points in league play, two better than second-seeded Saint Michael's. The NE10 semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 29.

For seedings and matchups in the NE10 Ice Hockey Championship, please see below.

Saint Michael's (24 points) earned the right to host the other semifinal game after a strong finish to the season, which included the Purple Knights going 5-0-1 in its last six games. Stonehill (20 points) will be the three seed and travel to Saint Michael's, while Franklin Pierce (19 points) will play at Assumption next weekend.

Just one point separated Franklin Pierce, the final team to qualify, from fifth-place Saint Anselm (18 points) and only three points between the Ravens and sixth-place Southern New Hampshire (16 points). A tight race over the final few weeks of the regular season shook out this past weekend, as Franklin Pierce split a two-game series with Assumption to earn the final place in the NE10 Championship.

Assumption looks to capture its first NE10 Championship title since 2016-17 and second overall in program history. For Saint Michael's, it is trying to win its sixth overall league title and first since the 2008-09 season.

The NE10 Championship game is slated for Saturday, March 7, and will be hosted by the highest remaining seed in the tournament. Championship action will be available to watch on NE10NOW.tv
