Embrace the Victory: Adelphi Claims Top Seed In NE10 Men's Soccer Championship

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Adelphi secured the top seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 Conference Men's Soccer Championship, as announced by the conference on Wednesday evening. 

The Panthers lost just one game during conference play, going 10-1-1, as they earned at least a share of the NE10 Regular Season Crown for the fourth consecutive season. No. 5 ranked Adelphi used a 2-0 victory over Saint Rose on the final day of the regular season to clinch the top spot. No. 18 Franklin Pierce finished second with 30 points and outscored its opponents 29-7 in 12 conference games. 

Southern New Hampshire earned the third seed with 23 points and a 7-3-2 record, just edging out Le Moyne who tallied 22 points with a 7-4-1 conference mark. Assumption earned the No. 5 seed for the second straight season with 21 points while Saint Rose was sixth. Bentley and American International rounded out the NE10 Tournament field.

Adelphi will host the Yellow Jackets at 7 p.m. on Saturday as they seek the program's second straight NE10 Title, while No 7 Bentley will travel to square off against Franklin Pierce at 5 p.m. Fifth seeded Assumption will play No. 4 Le Moyne at 1 p.m. in Syracuse while No. 3 Southern New Hampshire will host Saint Rose at 4 p.m. 

The NE10 Semifinals are scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 13 with the NE10 Championship on Saturday, No. 16 at the highest remaining seed. The 2019 NE10 Championship game will be broadcast live on NE10 NOW.
