NE10 Player of the Week
Jonathan Berling, Southern New Hampshire
Sophomore | Moss, Norway
Berling went 4-1, including 2-0 in singles, during a 2-0 week for the Penmen that clinched them a share of the NE10 regular-season title. Berling took down Peter Hatton, 6-2, 7-5, at No. 1 singles in a 4-3 win over NE10-unbeaten Le Moyne on Wednesday and then defeated Max Bonte at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-4, Saturday in a 7-0 blanking of Bentley. He teamed with Fernando Torres for a 7-5 win against Le Moyne's Hatton and Manuel Righi at No. 1 doubles.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Phillipp Roeder, Southern New Hampshire
Freshman | Augsburg, Germany
Roeder went 3-1 during a 2-0 week for the Penmen that clinched them a share of the NE10 regular-season title. Roeder suffered a 6-7 (4-7), 5-7 loss to Alberto Diaz at No. 5 singles in a 4-3 victory against Le Moyne on Wednesday, before bouncing back with a 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 triumph against Taiwan Rattaseri at No. 5 in a 7-0 blanking of Bentley on Sunday. He combined with Aron Ouwejan for a 6-4 win against Le Moyne's Fabian Sjokvist and Ethan Miller at No. 3 doubles and then earned another 6-4 victory at No. 3 versus Bentley's Rattaseri and Diego Ramos.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Preston Gordon , Franklin Pierce (Sr. - Essex Junction, Vt. )
Gordon went a perfect 4-0 in a 2-0 week for Franklin Pierce, collecting two wins each in at the No. 1 position in doubles and No. 2 position in singles. Last week against NE10 opponent Assumption, Gordon assisted in a 6-4 win to leadoff the day in doubles, and then wrapped up the effort with a two-set win in singles (6-3, 6-4). Recently against Daemen, Gordon earned his victories with 6-2 scores across the board.
Manuel Righi, Le Moyne (Gr. - Bologna, Italy)
Righi went 3-1 in Le Moyne's 1-1 week. He won at second singles in a 4-3 loss to SNHU on Wednesday and was a winner at first singles on Saturday in a 7-0 win over Saint Michael's. He teamed for a 6-1 win at second doubles against Saint Michael's.
Josh Weiss, Saint Michael's (Sr., No. 1 Singles/No. 1, 2 Doubles - Pittsford, N.Y.)
Weiss posted a 4-2 mark last week, going 2-1 at No. 1 singles and 2-1 in doubles. In a 7-0 win at Bentley on Tuesday, Weiss sided for a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles before taking a 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 12-10 victory in singles. He was part of a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles while claiming a 6-0, 6-0 victory during a 7-0 team win against Norwich on Thursday. During a 7-0 setback to Le Moyne on Saturday, Weiss' doubles duo lost 6-1 in the No. 2 spot before he suffered a 6-3, 7-5 setback in singles play to the 10th-ranked singles player in the region.
