Embrace the Philosophy: NE10 Produces 59 NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

All Honorees Achieved a Grade Point Average of at Least 3.5 During 2018-19 Academic Year.


MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference had 59 of its softball players recognized as Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes, as announced on Wednesday. Seven teams were represented, with Le Moyne having a league-high 11 players earn the honor.

New Haven had 10 softball players recognized, while Adelphi and Southern New Hampshire each had nine. Over 8,000 student-athletes, a first in NFCA history, earned the accolade across all membership categories of the organization (high school and college).

To earn All-America Scholar-Athlete status, student-athletes had to earn a 3.5 grade point average or better during the 2018-19 academic year. Division II had a total of 1,306 honorees.
