Nineteen NE-10 Student-Athletes to Compete in National Outdoor Track & Field Championships

12 Women, 7 Men to Represent NE-10 at NCAA Championships May 26-28

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Nineteen Northeast-10 student-athletes have been selected to compete at the upcoming NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will take place Thursday, May 26 – Saturday, May 28 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. Of the 19, there are 12 on the women’s side and seven more on the men’s front.

For a complete list of NE-10 qualifiers and the event(s) they will be competing in, please see below.

The Southern Connecticut women’s program will be sending six qualifiers, the most in the conference. Shatajah Wattely, Crystle Hill and Adriana Carrasco will each be competing in multiple events for the Owls.

Merrimack’s Carly Muscaro will also be taking part in multiple events, the 200- and 400-meter dash events. Muscaro won a national title in the 400 during the indoor season.

American International had the most men’s qualifiers with three. Leakey Kipkosgei is set to compete in two events for the Yellow Jackets, the 3,000-meter steeplechase and 5,000-meter run.

The Stonehill women’s team and Southern Connecticut men’s team will each be sending two student-athletes apiece, while Franklin Pierce had a qualifier from both their men’s and women’s squads, as did Merrimack. Adelphi and Assumption will also be represented at the championships.
