The Owls narrowly edged out American International by just one point in the men's voting. If the coaches are accurate, this year's event could be one of the most exciting in conference history. Southern Connecticut received 95 points and six first place votes, while the Yellow Jackets earned 94 points and the remaining five first place nods. Stonehill's men's team was picked to finish third having received 79 points.
On the women's side, the defending champions from Stonehill recieved all but one first place vote and 121 points overall. Southern Connecticut was tabbed to finish second with 107 points and the remaining first place selection. American International rounded out the top three as the Yellow Jackets earned 96 points in the coaches' voting.
