Embrace The Championship: Stonehill Women Make it Five Straight, Southern Connecticut Men Win 13th NE10 Title

Owls, Skyhawks Repeat as NE10 Indoor Track & Field Champions

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - For the fifth consecutive year, the Stonehill Women's Team took home the Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship title, while the Southern Connecticut Men earned their NE10-best 13th-title during Sunday's action.

The Skyhawks won their fifth-straight indoor championship matching the NE10 record for consecutive indoor wins, tying UMass Lowell, which won the title from 2002-06. Stonehill has now won eight-straight combined NE10 titles for cross country, indoor, and outdoor dating back to 2015 and has captured 14 of last 15 combined NE10 Championships since 2013.

Stonehill totaled 165 points with 15 total All-Conference nods, including eight from day two of the championships. Southern Connecticut combined for 118 points, good for second, while American International placed third with 99 points. Assumption (91 points) and Merrimack (54 points) rounded out the top five.

The Southern Connecticut Men's track and field squad captured the NE10 title for the 13th time in program history and for the second straight year. The team finished with 189 points just 4.5 points ahead of second-place American International. Stonehill finished third with 100 points, while Merrimack (65 points) and Assumption (43 points) finished fourth and fifth respectively.
