NE10 Player of the Week

Aurora Deshaies, New Haven
Senior | Forward | Syracuse, N.Y.

Deshaies led New Haven to another pair of wins as the Chargers extended their win streak to seven straight to open up the final month of the regular season. The senior post player averaged 19.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, while shooting an impressive 76% from the field (19-of-25). Deshaies continues to lead the NE10 and is among the top-15 in a number of categories on the season, including her league-leading field goal percentage which is fourth best in the nation.


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Ciara Norman, Bentley
Freshman | Forward | Roebling, N.J.

Norman had a career-game off the bench in a 60-48 win over Southern New Hampshire, tallying 19 points and 14 rebounds in 25:21 on the floor. She made 9-of-13 shots, grabbed two steals and was a plus-15. 


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll 

Kayla Robinson, American International (Sr., G - Rosedale, N.Y.)
Robinson was a strong offensive force for AIC in a 1-1 week, leading the team with an average of 18 points per game. In a win at No. 13 Assumption, she put up 17 points, leading the Yellow Jackets, and then scored 19 for AIC in a close loss at New Haven.

Monica Spain, Assumption (Sr., F - Braintree, Mass.)
Spain recorded back-to-back double-doubles for Assumption in two games this week. She opened up the week with a 12-point, 10-rebound performance against AIC. The Senior followed that up with a 17-point, 11-point showing in a 54-38 win at Saint Michael's on Saturday. 

Maggie Whitmore, Bentley (Jr., G/F - South Portland, Me.)
Whitmore scored a game-high 21 and also had seven rebounds, four steals and two assists in the Falcons' 60-48 win over Southern New Hampshire Wednesday. She made eight of 11 shots overall and all five of her attempts from the foul line. 

Ines Gimenez Monserrat, Franklin Pierce (Jr., F - Mallorca, Spain)
As the Ravens earned a 1-1 split over the past week, Gimenez Monserrat put together consecutive standout performances with 48 total points off of 19-for-36 (52.8%) success in field goals, along with 16 boards, five steals and three assists. In their lone triumph over Saint Michael's, the Raven junior shot 14-of-19 (73.7%) and 4-of-5 (80.0%) from three-range, leading the effort with a new career-best 34 points from the floor. To close out the week, Gimenez Monserrat returned to lead the scoring effort versus Le Moyne with 14 points, additionally reaching double-figures in rebounds (10) to earn her third double-double of the season. Over the course of the week, Gimenez Monserrat averaged 24.0 points per game.

Lytoya Baker, Le Moyne (Sr., G - Rochester, N.Y.)
Baker averaged 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals in Le Moyne's 2-0 week. She opened the week with a career-high 30 points by making a program record-tying 14 field goals, while adding seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in a 76-64 win over Adelphi on Wednesday. She aided a defensive effort which allowed only 44 points to Franklin Pierce on Saturday in a 72-44 victory, while scoring four points and grabbing three rebounds despite not needing to play the final 12 minutes.

Gabby Turco, Saint Anselm (Jr., G - Wildwood, N.J.)
Turco led all players with 21 points and pulled down a team-high eight rebounds as Saint Anselm posted a 74-64 win over Pace in its lone contest of the week. Turco shot an even 50.0% (8-16) from the floor and aided the Hawks to a 94.7% (18-19) mark from the free throw line at five-for-five. The junior also dished out three assists and recorded two steals for the Hawks in the win.

Katie Williamson, Southern Conn. St. (Jr., F - Dublin, Ireland)
In a 1-1 week, Williamson led Southern with 14.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as well as 2.0 blocks. Against Saint Rose in a 51-47 win at home, Williamson had 15 points, five rebounds and two blocks. She followed against Pace with a double-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

Jess Knight, Southern N.H. (Jr., F - Hanover, Mass.)
Knight posted 15.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.0 block per game, while hitting on 50 percent of her shots from the floor (14-28) during a 1-1 week for the Penmen. Knight recorded 16 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 FT) and four rebounds in Wednesday's 60-48 loss at Bentley, before notching 14 points (7-17 FG), seven boards and two blocks in a 73-69 victory at Adelphi on Saturday.
