Adelphi Picked by League's Coaches to Win Their Fifth-Straight NE10 Women's Lacrosse Title

Panthers Top NE10 Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Poll Once Again

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Defending national champion Adelphi has been picked to win the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Lacrosse title once again by the league's head coaches, as the conference announced the 2018 Coaches' Poll this morning.

The Panthers, who will be looking to win their fifth-straight NE10 crown, claimed 167 total points along with 11 first-place votes from the league's head coaches. Adelphi went 21-1 last year en route to the NE10 Championship and National Championship, where they defeated Florida Southern 6-4.

Adelphi has won the conference title seven times in the last eight seasons and will be looking for their program-record and NE10-record fifth consecutive title this coming spring.

Le Moyne took the second spot in the poll with 159 points and received the other three first-place votes. New Haven was picked to finish third with 141 points, followed by Pace with 124 and Stonehill with 123. 

The 2018 season is slated to begin next Monday, February 12. The 2018 Northeast-10 Championship is slated to begin with Quarterfinal Round action on Wednesday, May 2. The Semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, May 5 with the finals to follow on Sunday, May 6.
