Golden Knights Nearly Sweep NE10 Major Awards.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Saint Rose's Nina Predanic, the leading scorer in the Northeast-10 Conference who led the Golden Knights to the regular season title, has been voted Women's Soccer Player of the Year – as announced by the NE10 office on Friday afternoon.
The Golden Knights grabbed four of five major awards to lead all NE10 teams, in addition to having a league-high nine players earn All-Conference status. Southern New Hampshire and Stonehill tied for second, as each had eight players included.
Predanic leads Saint Rose into the NE10 Championship quarterfinals on Sunday as the No. 1 seed after a 31-point regular season in league play. Her teammates – Deanna Trongone, Marika Laurendeau and Olivia Boucher – also took home major awards for their performance on the field.
Additionally, Stonehill's Alex Wilson was named NE10 Coach of the Year after leading the Skyhawks to the No. 2 seed in the NE10 Championship and a 28-point (8-1-4) season in league play.

Predanic has been a scoring machine this season, ranking first in the NE10 in goals (15), assists (12) and points (42) – while also logging a league-best seven game-winning goals for Saint Rose. Her 0.71 assists per game is fifth and 2.47 points per game is tied for eighth in all of Division II. She takes home her first major award since being named Rookie of the Year in 2016 and is now a four-time First Team All-Conference selection.
Trongone handled the defensive side of the ball this season for Saint Rose, earning herself NE10 Defensive Player of the Year honors. Trongone led a Golden Knights' defense that held league opponents to less than one goal per contest – resulting in a league-best +21 goal differential in NE10 action. She also contributed 12 points, on five goals and a pair of assists. Trongone also earned a spot on the All-Conference First Team.
Laurendeau, a dominant force in between the posts for Saint Rose, earned NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year after recording six shutouts and leading the Golden Knights to the top seed in the NE10 Championship. She started every game this season and averaged 3.53 saves per contest, while surrendering just 12 goals in 13 games against NE10 opponents. Laurendeau, the All-Conference First Team goalkeeper, is a two-time NE10 Goalie of the Week this season.
Boucher, Saint Rose's freshman sensation, has earned NE10 Rookie of the Year after accounting for 25 points this season – 10 goals and five assists – to supplement the Golden Knights' scoring behind Predanic. Boucher posted nine multi-points games, including a pair of five-point performances, on her way to being a three-time NE10 Rookie of the Week. She is also a First Team All-Conference selection.
Wilson has been elected NE10 Coach of the Year for the second time in her career, as she also earned the honor in 2016. The Skyhawks have been nationally-ranked for the majority of the season, currently sitting at No. 19 in the United Soccer Coaches' Poll, and will host a quarterfinal game against Southern Connecticut on Sunday in the NE10 Championship.
The NE10 Championship quarterfinals are on Sunday, with the semifinals scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 14, and the final on Sunday, Nov. 17. All Championship information can be found HERE, including the schedule and team information.
