MANSFIELD, Mass. - A pair of upsets marked Sunday's quarterfinal round of the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Soccer Championship, as both sixth-seeded American International and seventh-seeded Southern Connecticut advanced and will play in Thursday's semifinals. Additionally, top-ranked Saint Rose and fourth-seeded Bentley recorded victories - setting up the other semifinal matchup to determine who plays in the title game next Sunday, Nov. 17.
To earn another game in the NE10 Championship, the Owls knocked-off No. 2 seed Stonehill by a 1-0 margin and the Yellow Jackets advanced by winning 5-4 in penalty kicks against No. 3 seed Adelphi, following 110 minutes of scoreless play in regulation and two overtime periods.
No. 1 Saint Rose 4, No. 8 Pace 1 - Box Score
ALBANY, N.Y. – Top-seeded Saint Rose scored three unanswered second half goals and engineered a 20-7 shot advantage to upend visiting eighth-seed Pace 4-1 in Sunday's Northeast-10 Conference Championship Quarterfinal.
The Golden Knights (15-2-1), ranked #11 in the latest United Soccer Coaches National Poll, will now host Bentley in a semifinal Thursday. Saint Rose upended the Falcons 4-1 earlier this season in Waltham, Mass.
The Golden Knights put their depth on full display with six players penciling their names in the scoring column. Senior midfielder Morgan Burchhardt set up two of the strikes, including the game-winner, while senior forwards Nina Predanic and Caitlyn Dabagian, senior midfielder Eva Frazzoni, and sophomore forward Kaelyn Britt all found the back of the net.

No. 7 Southern Connecticut 1, No. 2 Stonehill 0 - Box Score
EASTON, Mass - No. 7-seeded Southern Connecticut State women's soccer upset No. 2-seeded Stonehill, 1-0, in a Northeast 10 Championship Quarterfinal matchup at Skyhawk Field in Easton, Mass. The win sends the Owls to the NE10 Semifinals for the first time since 2008.
Amanda Dustin scored the Owls' only goal in Southern's victory off a free kick from just inside midfield in the 76th minute of play. Allie Smith recorded her seventh shutout of the season with a nine-save performance against the Skyhawks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dustin's goal came with just under 14 minutes to play. The junior center-back took a free kick from approximately 40-yards away and banged her shot home off the cross bar to give the Owls the late lead.

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - It would take a shootout to decide it, but the No. 3 seed Adelphi women's soccer team fell to sixth-seeded American International on Sunday in the quarterfinals of the 2019 Northeast-10 Conference Championship at Motamed Field in Garden City.
In a best-of-5 shootout, the Panthers (9-5-3) and Yellow Jackets (8-8-3) converted on each of their first tries, before Mia York was stopped on Adelphi's second attempt.
York aimed left, yet AIC goalkeeper Tamra Zippin guessed correctly and kept the ball out of the net. While the Panthers scored on their next three tries, the Yellow Jackets made all five of their attempts to advance to Thursday's semifinal round.

No. 4 Bentley 1, No. 5 Southern New Hampshire 0 - Box Score
WALTHAM, Mass. – Sophomore Emily McGrath scored in the 11th minute and the defense produced another shutout as Bentley defeated Southern New Hampshire 1-0 on Sunday in the quarterfinals of the NE10 Women's Soccer Championship.
The Falcons, the No. 4 seed, will now roll on to the semifinals on Thursday, where they will meet the top seed Saint Rose.
McGrath's goal came after midfielder Rebecca Nguyen helped win the ball back for Bentley in its attacking end. She fed a quick pass to McGrath who streaked down the left wing and once she got to the top of the penalty box, chipped a shot to the near post for the goal, her 3rd of the season.
