Southern New Hampshire rolled on to the Northeast-10 Conference Semifinals with an impressive 5-0 win, while Le Moyne knocked off Assumption in a classic First Round showdown. Here's how Wednesday's action went down:

#3 Southern New Hampshire 5, #6 Merrimack 0

GOFFSTOWN, N.H. - Junior Sofia Morais won a pair of matches, including the clincher, as the third-seeded Penmen dispatched sixth-seeded Merrimack, 5-0, Wednesday in the first round of the NE10 Championship at the YMCA Allard Center to advance to the semifinal round for the 11th consecutive year. The Penmen will head to Garden City, N.Y. to take on #2 Adelphi in one semifinal Friday afternoon.

Southern New Hampshire jumped out to an early lead, with juniors Anna Sala and freshman Casey Burns taking down Mana Seifaei and Danielle Dunn, 8-3, at No. 1 doubles. Junior Kaitlyn Poje and senior Lindsay Baum followed suit with an 8-3 triumph at No. 2 over Mia Briggs and Cassie Restrepo. Morais and classmate Rachel Wagner made it a clean sweep of doubles by pulling out an 8-6 victory at No. 3 against Mackenzie Blair and Lauren Persson.

Burns made it 4-0 by cruising to a 6-3, 6-0 win against Restrepo at No. 4 singles, before Morais downed Persson, 6-2, 6-2 to end it.
