NE-10 Volleyball Regular Season Ends in Three-Way Tie, New Haven Awarded Top Seed

MANSFIELD, Mass. - Bentley University, The University of New Haven, and Stonehill College each ended the Northeast-10 Conference portion of their schedule with identical 11-3 marks, but by virtue of the league's tie-breaking procedure, the Chargers will be the top seed in the upcoming conference championship which begins Tuesday.

This is the first time in the history of the NE-10 that the regular season champion has more than one conference loss.  Additionally, since 1996, the conference's regular season champions have had a total of 2 losses in league play, and none since calendar changed to the new millenium (2000).

Tuesday, November 11 - Quarterfinals
Match 1: #8 Franklin Pierce at #1 New Haven, 7:00 pm
Match 2: #5 Saint Rose at #4 Adelphi, 7:00 pm
Match 3: #7 Southern New Hampshire at #2 Stonehill, 7:00 pm
Match 4: #6 Merrimack at #3 Bentley, 7:00 pm

Friday, November 14 - Semifinals
Game times of 5:00 PM & 7:30 PM (host institution may select their game time)
Match 5: Winner of Match 1 vs. Winner of Match 2
Match 6: Winner of Match 3 vs. Winner of Match 4

Saturday, November 15 - Finals
Match 7: Match 5 Winner vs. Match 6 Winner ­ 5:00 p.m.

*Semifinals/Final – at highest seed remaining following Tuesday's Quarterfinal Round (final four at same location)
