Saint Rose and Stonehill Both Have Two Student-Athletes
Selected All-Conference First Team

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Stonehill College senior setter Emily Iverson was selected by the Northeast-10 Conference's 15 head coaches as the league's Player and Setter of the Year, the league office announced today. Iverson helped lead the Skyhawks to an 11-3 mark in conference play, earning them a share of the NE-10 regular season title.

For the full list of student-athletes that were recognized as Northeast-10 All-Conference or All-Rookie honorees, please see below.

Saint Rose's Katy Daniels was named the NE-10 Libero / Defensive Player of the Year, while Southern New Hampshire University's Marisa Coronis was selected as the conference's Rookie of the Year. Bentley University's Joey Pacis was named the Sandy Hoffman Coach of the Year, as the league announced all of it's major award winners today.

The University of New Haven, which was one of three teams to share the regular season title, led all teams with four student-athletes selected for All-Conference recognition, while Merrimack College, The College of Saint Rose, and Stonehill each placed three on teams.

Iverson has had a sensational senior season for the Skyhawks. She's currently 2nd in the conference in both total assists (1011) and assists per set (10.21). The Elmhurst, Illinois native has also contributed offensively to the Stonehill attack by adding 68 kills and 35 aces, which leads the team from the service line.

Defensively, Iverson has added 200 digs, and perhaps the most impressive number of all is the fact that she has only committed 15 errors on the season. She was also named a Northeast-10 Conference First Team selection.

Saint Rose libero Katy Daniels was selected by the league's coaches as the 2014 Northeast-10 Conference Libero / Defensive Player of the Year. Daniels helped lead the Golden Knights to a 10-4 mark in league play, which earned them the fifth seed in the conference championship, which begins tonight.

Daniels currently leads the league with 519 digs on the year, and her 5.64 digs per set average ranks her second in the league. The senior from South Hadley, Mass. has also chipped in with 26 service aces, which ranks fourth on the Golden Knights. Daniels was also selected to the league's First Team.

So. New Hampshire first-year standout Marisa Coronis was named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Year. Coronis was a big reason why the Penmen went 9-5 in league play and earned the seventh seed in the championship. The middle hitter from Hudson, N.H. has registered 257 kills so far this season (9th-best in the league), and her 2.62 kills per set average is 15th-best. Coronis was also named a Northeast-10 Conference Third Team All Conference selection.

Joey Pacis, who took over for the legendary Sandy Hoffman earlier this year, has been named the Sandy Hoffman Northeast-10 Conference Coach of the Year. Pacis helped lead the Falcons to an 11-3 mark in conference play, which earned them a share of the NE-10 regular season title. He also guided three All-Conference selections in: Jaci Buscher, Savannah Dominguez, and Alex Tator; and saw one of his student-athletes (Lauren Van Buren) named to the conference's All-Rookie team. It's the first time he's been selected for this honor by his peers while at Bentley, howver, Pacis did receive the recognition twice (2007, 2008) while he was the head coach at Merrimack.
