Trick-or-Treat! Mercy Field Hockey Celebrates Halloween with Friends of Jaclyn Teammate Jelien

Jelien ready for Halloween

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mavericks Teamed Up With Jelien Back In January.

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy College field hockey team did a Halloween drive by for teammate Jelien Ramos at her house on Sunday, October 25th to spread the Halloween spirit.

Field Hockey partnered with the organization Friends of Jaclyn to sign Jelien to the team in January. Jelien battles BCell Leukemia and due to COVID-19, her family isn't able to spend Halloween like they usually do, so the team brought Halloween to her.

For the team Halloween drive-by, the Mavericks made posters, brought a huge box of Halloween candy, wrote cards and head coach Morgan O'Donohue made a gift bag for Jelien. Jelien's mother said it brought them all so much joy and Jelien was so happy in her pumpkin costume.
