Warriors Earn Second-Straight NE10 Presidents’ Cup; Third Overall in School History
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – For the second-straight year, Merrimack College won the Northeast-10 Conference Presidents’ Cup – the third overall win for the Warriors in school history – as announced by the league office on Monday night at the season-ending banquet in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Prior to this two-year stretch, the Warriors won the 1999-2000 Presidents’ Cup, an honor presented annually to signify overall athletic excellence in the NE10. It is awarded to the institution that compiles the most cumulative points based on finishes in the regular season standings from all of its programs competing in league championships.

Merrimack recorded 186.0 points throughout the year – five more points than it garnered during 2017-18 – behind NE10 regular season titles in men’s lacrosse and women’s golf. The Warriors tallied 67 points in the spring season, second-most of any NE10 institution in that time, to earn the Presidents’ Cup.
Adelphi, a four-time winner, finished in second place despite capturing a league-best 70 points during the spring season. The Panthers ended up with 177.0 points, edging out Assumption (175.0), SNHU (171.5) and Stonehill (169.5) – rounding-out the top five finishers this year.
