68 Players and 10 Teams Honored by ITA.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference produced 68 men’s and women’s student-athletes that earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II Scholar-Athlete honors on Tuesday, representing 12 different programs overall.

11 of those programs, five men’s teams and six women’s teams, were recognized with ITA All-Academic Team awards for their overall commitment to academic excellence during the 2019-20 season.

Of the 68 student-athletes that received ITA recognition, 30 came from the men’s side – with Franklin Pierce leading all programs with 10 honorees. Saint Michael’s led the women’s side with eight players earning awards of the 38 total recipients from women’s programs.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.

For a complete list of ITA Scholar-Athletes, please see the list below.

On the men’s side, Adelphi, Bentley, Franklin Pierce, Saint Michael’s and Stonehill represented the NE10 with All-Academic Team honors, while the same five institutions, plus New Haven, qualified for the award among the women’s programs.

For a program to be named an ITA All-Academic Team, it must have a team GPA of 3.2 or above (on a 4.0 scale), have all of its student-athletes included on the institutional eligibility form and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative GPA for the current academic year.
