South Easton, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference has announced the student athletes that were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2011 spring semester. Each of the conference's 16 member institution was represented, with a total of 2,770 student-athletes being honored.

The NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes for their achievement in the classroom. Of the 2,788 that were recognized, 125 student-athletes obtained a perfect grade point average of 4.0.

Bentley University had the most student-athletes recognized with 328, followed by Stonehill College who had 235, and Adelphi University with 212 honored.

In terms of percentage, Adelphi led the way with 66% of all student-athletes named to the Honor Roll.  Bentley and Saint Michael's College finished second and third with regards to overall percentage at 65 and 57, respectively. Nine of the 16 members had over one-half of their student-athletes placed on the honor roll.

On the women's side, soccer featured the most honorees, as 279 student-athletes were named to the Honor Roll. Softball finished second with 189.

Football had the highest total of student-athletes on the men's side, as there were 250 named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Baseball followed with 186.

To be eligible for selection to the Northeast-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded a minimum 3.0 semester grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the Spring '11 semester.
